What’s Brewwing? - Aug'26

Written by Kez Raymond | Aug 28, 2026, 11:21:28 AM

As summer's festival season winds down and attention turns to autumn stock and trade relationships, this month brings one of the biggest updates we've shipped in a while.

This month's updates focus on making it easier to sell directly to trade customers, expanding what Breww connects to, and giving you more accurate reporting for international compliance.

Here's what's new...

Trade Store

Trade Store gets a glow-up, and it's now completely free

Breww Trade Store, the branded portal your trade accounts use to order directly from you, has just had its biggest update yet. We've dropped the 1% fee entirely, so there's no monthly cost, transaction cost, or charge on your sales at all. Alongside that, it's had a proper redesign: a clearer dashboard, more control over how it looks, bulk customer invites, collection as well as delivery, and support for running more than one store.

If you're already using Trade Store, you're on the new version automatically and the fee is already gone. If you looked at it before and the cost or setup put you off, it's worth another look.

Integrations

Connect directly to your 3PL with CartonCloud

If part of your wholesale fulfilment is handled by a third-party logistics provider, a 3PL, such as CartonCloud, Breww now connects to it directly, at no extra cost.

Instead of re-entering orders into a separate portal and chasing dispatch updates manually, confirming an order destined for a 3PL-managed site sends it straight through for picking, packing and dispatch. Stock transfers to the warehouse arrive with full batch and expiry detail attached. Order status updates automatically inside Breww as your 3PL works through it, and once dispatched, Breww marks the order complete and flags anything where the batches picked don't match what was assigned, so nothing slips through unnoticed. Anything needing attention, whether that's an unmapped product or a rejected order, shows up on a single connection dashboard with a straightforward way to fix and resync it.

You choose, order by order, whether to send something to your 3PL, hold it back, or pull it out again, and more than one 3PL can be connected if you work with several.

Supplier invoice attachments now sync to Xero and QuickBooks

Supplier invoices in Breww can now carry their paperwork straight through to your accounting software. Attach a file to a supplier invoice, turn on the new sync option, and it lands on the matching bill in Xero or QuickBooks Online automatically, so whoever handles your books can see the original document without anyone uploading it twice.

Reporting and compliance

New Zealand excise duty, calculated for you

If you brew in New Zealand, working out excise duty and the Health Promotion Agency levy by hand is no longer necessary. Breww now calculates both automatically, covering beer, cider, wine, spirits, RTDs and more. Choose your reporting period and you'll get the quantities, duty and levy for every excise item, laid out ready to transfer onto your Trade Single Window entry, along with a full breakdown of how each figure was worked out. The same automatic duty calculation also feeds through to things like duty-free pricing, so those no longer depend on figures entered by hand.

A new report: Margin by product

There's a new report for a simpler question: which products are actually making you money. Margin by product breaks it down per item, quantity sold, sales value, volume, the production, packaging and duty costs behind it, and the resulting margin, all in one row per product rather than pulled together manually.

Production

Plan multi-day brews down to which turn happens on which day

Multi-day brews can now be planned properly rather than pieced together. Set the number of turns and brewing days a batch needs, then drag each turn onto the day it actually happens. The batch schedule reflects this with a block per brewing day, so a longer brew is easier to follow at a glance.

Distribution

Build delivery areas from US ZIP codes

Setting up delivery areas has always been possible with UK or Australian postcodes, or by drawing a shape on a map by hand. US breweries only had the hand-drawn option, until now. ZIP codes can now be entered directly, including ranges, and the map updates live as you go, making gaps or overlaps easy to spot. Customer addresses, ZIP+4 included, are matched to the right area automatically, and everything that depends on it, delivery days, next delivery dates, scheduling, works exactly as it does everywhere else.

Smaller updates

Enter water additions in the unit that makes sense

Recipes with small water additions no longer force you to think in your account's main production unit. A dedicated unit dropdown lets you enter a small addition in whichever unit makes sense, litres, hectolitres, or gallons/barrels, US or imperial, rather than converting it in your head first.
