What’s Brewwing? - July'26

Summer festivals, busy taprooms and packed delivery schedules mean more beer moving through the brewery than ever. With production, deliveries and customers all demanding your attention, it's the small improvements that help keep everything moving.

This month's updates bring clearer visibility across your production schedule, more flexibility in reporting, and a handful of practical improvements for sales and distribution teams.

Here's what's new...

Production and batch scheduling

Record how long things took, not just when they happened
Not every part of brew day happens at a specific time. Sometimes it's the duration that matters. You can now add Duration readings to your recipes for things like a mash or a transfer, entering them in a simple format such as 45m or 1h 30m.

Time of day readings, previously just called "Time", have also been renamed to make the distinction clear. Both types now work properly in calculations, making it possible to subtract a mash-in time from a mash-out time to calculate the mash length automatically.

Follow every batch through your brewery
When vessels and equipment are constantly in use, it's useful to see exactly how each batch moves through your brewery.

The batch schedule now draws arrows between a batch's brew, vessels and equipment, making it easier to follow its journey at a glance. Hovering over a batch fades everything else into the background, while the arrows and planned packagings can be hidden whenever you want a cleaner view.

If you prefer, the arrows can also be switched off completely.

Keep your schedule up to date without opening the batch
Plans change throughout the week. You can now drag the end of a batch's current vessel block directly on the batch schedule to update its planned end date, without reopening the batch itself.

If the vessel wasn't already planned, Breww creates the plan for you from the date it was filled.

Sales and task management

A more flexible way to manage tasks
Task lists rarely stay in the same order for long. You can now sort tasks by due date or date created, drag them into your own manual order, pin important tasks to the top, update several tasks at once using bulk actions, and move tasks to a different day directly from the calendar.

Completing a customer task can also automatically create the next follow-up.

See the full picture of what's available
Sometimes knowing what's unavailable is just as useful as knowing what is. The Products available for sale report can now include out-of-stock products alongside those currently in stock.

Whether you're sharing a full product list with customers or your sales team, or simply checking what's sold out, the same view is also carried through to Excel and CSV exports.

Keep refundable deposits out of your revenue
Refundable container deposits aren't sales, so they shouldn't inflate your sales and margin reports. Container deposit schemes now include a "Count deposit charges as revenue" option, allowing refundable deposits to be excluded from those figures.

Nothing changes on customer invoices or in your accounting, and existing orders can also be brought into line if you choose to enable the option.

Send reports to the people who need them
Scheduled reports are most useful when they reach the right people. Report emails can now be sent to colleagues or anyone else you choose, not just yourself.

There's also a new advanced scheduling option, giving you more control over exactly when reports are sent, whether that's early on specific weekdays or at the beginning of each quarter.

Find reports faster
As Breww has grown, so has the number of reports available.

The reporting dashboard has been redesigned into a single searchable page, making it easier to find reports by name or description. You can also favourite the reports you use most and quickly see which saved reports have scheduled emails coming up.

Customers and account management

See purchases across parent companies
If you work with customers that buy under a parent company, it's now easier to see the bigger picture.

Parent companies now have their own Products purchased tab, showing the combined purchases across all linked customers.

Distribution

Keep deliveries moving, even without a signal
Not every delivery route has reliable mobile coverage. The Breww app now works offline for deliveries, allowing drivers to capture signatures, record payments and add proof-of-delivery photos without an internet connection.

Everything syncs automatically once they're back online, and the new Pending syncs screen lets drivers see and retry anything that's still waiting to send.

Many of the improvements in Breww start as conversations with the breweries using it every day. If there's something you'd like to see, or you've got an idea that could make brewery life that little bit easier, we'd love to hear it in the Breww Community.
