Supporting the people behind great beer
At Breww, we spend every day working with independent breweries, and one thing we've learnt is that while great beer starts with great ingredients, great breweries are built by great people.
They're built on collaboration, shared knowledge, and a community that's always willing to help one another. Whether it's lending a hand on a brew day, sharing advice over a pint, or learning from others at an industry event, it's those connections that help both people and breweries grow.
That's why we're proud to be supporting Women On Tap as both an Industry Changemaker and a sponsor of its bursary scheme.

Who are Women On Tap?
Founded in 2017, Women On Tap is a Community Interest Company (CIC) dedicated to creating a beer industry where women feel welcome, safe and able to thrive.
Since launching with its first festival in Harrogate, the organisation has delivered more than 100 events and seven major festivals, alongside campaigns, educational initiatives and collaborations that celebrate women in beer and encourage more people to explore careers and opportunities across the industry.
Its vision is simple but powerful: a world where women thrive in all beer spaces, whether they're brewing it, drinking it, working in the industry or leading it.
Through initiatives like its Changemaker programme, Women On Tap is bringing together breweries, suppliers and organisations that share a commitment to helping build a stronger, more inclusive future for beer.
Creating opportunities that matter
Some of the most valuable opportunities in brewing happen beyond day-to-day work.
Industry events, collaboration brews, conferences and training sessions are where ideas are shared, relationships are built and careers often take shape. They're an important part of what makes the brewing community so special.
But for many people, taking part isn't always straightforward.
Travel costs, accommodation, taking unpaid leave and other expenses can quickly become barriers. For others, simply attending an event alone can feel intimidating enough to stop them from going altogether.
That's exactly what Women On Tap's Access to Beer project is designed to address.
Building on a successful pilot programme, the bursary scheme helps remove financial barriers by supporting women who want to access educational, networking and industry opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach.
Alongside this, the new buddy scheme recognises that confidence can be just as important as cost. By introducing attendees before an event or arranging for someone to welcome them on arrival, it aims to make taking that first step into the community feel a little easier.
They're practical initiatives with a simple goal: helping more people access the opportunities that can shape careers and strengthen the brewing industry.

Why we're getting involved
Supporting breweries has always meant more to us than providing software.
Breww was built by people with real brewery experience, and our customers continue to shape the platform every day. Community has always been at the heart of what we do, so supporting an organisation that's investing in the future of the brewing industry felt like a natural fit.
"Brewing has always been about people. The more opportunities there are for people to learn, connect and build careers in our industry, the better our industry becomes. We're proud to support Women On Tap as Industry Changemakers and to sponsor the bursary scheme, helping more women access opportunities that can make a real difference."
Luke Cousins, Co-founder & Director, Breww
By becoming an Industry Changemaker, we're supporting Women On Tap's ongoing work to create a more welcoming and inclusive beer industry. By sponsoring the bursary scheme, we're also helping more women access opportunities that can have a lasting impact on their careers.
It's one small way we can give something back to the industry that's given so much to us.
Looking ahead
The brewing industry has always moved forward through collaboration.
Every shared experience, every conversation and every opportunity to learn from one another helps strengthen our community.
We're excited to support Women On Tap and the work it's doing through both the Changemaker programme and the Beer Unlocked project, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact these initiatives continue to have across the industry.
If you'd like to learn more about Women On Tap, we'd encourage you to explore the fantastic work the team is doing.
Because when we invest in people, we help build a stronger future for brewing.
