What's Brewwing? - Dec'25

It’s been another busy few weeks at Breww, with a set of small but meaningful improvements focused on saving time, reducing friction, and making everyday brewery workflows easier to manage. Here’s a round-up of what’s new across the platform.

Production and recipe improvements

Quicker recipe action timing setup
Setting up and maintaining recipes is now more straightforward. You can set recipe action timings (such as “10 minutes from end of stage”) at the point of creating or editing an action, rather than having to add the timing afterwards.

It’s a simple change, but one that removes an extra step when building recipes. This is especially helpful when more than one person needs to work from the same recipe, or when the usual keeper of that knowledge is off, sick, or busy elsewhere in the brewery.

Faster access in the brewhouse

Print QR codes for vessels and equipment
You can now generate QR codes for vessels and other equipment directly in Breww. These can be printed and attached to tanks, fermenters, or other kit, then scanned on a mobile device to jump straight to the relevant screen.

Scanning a QR code gives quick access to common actions, including:

  • Adding fermentation readings
  • Opening the related batch
  • Viewing cleaning and maintenance records

This is particularly useful in busy brewhouses where teams shouldn’t have to rely on memory, handwritten notes, or digging through menus to find the right place.

QR codes can be generated from Production → View → Equipment.

Pricing and accountability

Price book change logging
Changes made to price books and pricing rules are now automatically recorded in a price change log. This provides a clear audit trail showing what changed, when it changed, and who made the update.

It’s a practical improvement for keeping pricing transparent and accountable, whether that’s for internal reviews, margin checks, or finance oversight. To view a price book’s change log, open the price book and select View change log from the Actions & tools menu.

Coming soon

We’ve got more incremental improvements on the way, with a continued focus on production workflows and everyday usability. As always, many of these updates begin as real feature requests from breweries using Breww day in, day out.
